Remove the old badge
Tape around the badge edge with painter's tape. Warm it with a hair dryer for a minute, cut the adhesive with fishing line, then gently pry — it's held by two pins in rubber grommets.
Clean the area
Wipe the leftover residue with Goo Gone, then finish with rubbing alcohol so the surface is perfectly smooth and oil-free.
Press on the new badge
Peel the backing from the double-sided tape, align the two pins with the grommets, press firmly and evenly for 30 seconds, and pull the painter's tape.
Grommet tip: the two rubber grommets in the trunk holes can go brittle with age — pop fresh ones in before mounting for the tightest factory fit.

Will it fit my car?
If your car has a 74mm or 82mm roundel — it fits. That covers 1–8 Series and X Series across E / F / G platforms. Placement variants cover hood/trunk and steering wheel.
How does installation work?
Pry the factory badge off (warm it, floss the adhesive, plastic trim tool). Behind it are two factory pin holes — on virtually every BMW. Antenna wire through one, power wires through the other, then plug into your trunk 12V socket or connect the direct wires to the fuse box.
